8:30 AM       Pickup from hotels and transport to Gothenburg Control Center.

                     Gothenburg Control Center for a briefing about the District, the technology employed at the control center, the history and the                               economic impact of water to our region.

 

9:30               Depart for North Platte Diversion Dam

 

10:00             Arrive at North Platte Diversion Dam

 

10:30             Depart for Paxton via Sutherland and GGS drive by for lunch

                      View GGS 

 

11:50             Arrive Ole’s for lunch

                      Lunch speaker Tim Holzfaster  (Owner of Ole’s  .. historical tourism)

 

12:50 PM      Depart for Kingsley Dam/Lake McConaughy

 

1:30                Arrive Lake at Lake McConaughy Visitors Center

                      Group tour of the Water Interpretive Center

                      Speaker Colby Johnson  NGPC – Lake Mac, G&P and tourism

                      Tour Morning Glory, Outlet Tower, and Kingsley Hydroplant

 

3:20                Depart Lake McConaughy and travel to Jeffrey Lake

                       Jay Rempe, Senior Economist with the Nebraska Farm Bureau 

                        (Economic Impact of Water!)

 

4:20                Drive loop around the Jeffrey Lodge and Jeffrey Hydroplant  -  10-minute walk around

 

4:50                Arrive Gothenburg or Wildhorse Golf Course.
