Dan Duncan

Dan Duncan is the executive director of Nebraska Innovation Campus. Dan began his tenure with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1987 when he accepted the position of operations manager at the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. In 1991, he was named director of the University of Nebraska Agricultural Research and Development Center near Mead, Nebraska. On August 1, 2004, Dan was named assistant director of the Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station on a part-time basis. In February 2008, Dan accepted the position of assistant dean and director of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Agricultural Research Division. On October 1, 2011, he moved into his current position as executive director of the Nebraska Innovation Campus Development Corporation.

 

Dan was born on a diversified farm and ranch in Sioux County, Nebraska.  He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  After graduation, Dan returned to the family farm and ranch for six years. Dan has a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics-Agribusiness, and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Animal Science and Agronomy all from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Dan is a LEAD VII Fellow.  He is also a member of the Nebraska Hall of Ag Achievement and the Agricultural Builders of Nebraska.

David Martin

David joined NIS in 2017 as Director. David Martin is a former journalist and founder of True Stories – Live! in Lincoln. Originally from Boston, David has a BS from Haverford College and an MA from Columbia University. He was an Emmy-nominated producer at CNN and also worked at The Associated Press and Newhouse Newspapers. He enjoys screen printing and photography.

Dan Hoffman

Dan Hoffman has been actively involved in building the support ecosystem for new Nebraska enterprises for over 7 years working with a variety of public and private sector partners. He has helped launch multiple startup companies, as well as assisted in the development of public sector initiatives to fund and accelerate new start-up companies with high growth potential. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for one of Invest Nebraska’s portfolio companies, Cropmetics.

Prior to joining Invest Nebraska, Dan served as Senior Policy Adviser to Governor Dave Heineman and Governor Mike Johanns. He earned a M.A. Degree in Economics and a B.S. Degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a 2012 graduate of the Venture Capital Institute.

Eric Zeece

Eric Zeece is Innovation Manager, and Manager of the Biotech Connector.  Previous to his work at Invest Nebraska Corporation, Eric was Chief Performance Officer and Deputy Director of Nebraska Department of Economic Development. Eric also served as Senior Commercialization Specialist at Innovation Accelerator (IA), the private half of a public-private partnership with the National Science Foundation. In addition, Mr. Zeece has over ten years of experience working for investor-owned, public, and private utilities in a breadth of technical and financial management capacities ranging from operations, to asset management, and investment delivery.

Previous positions include Vice President of Operations at Midwest Energy Inc., Director of Energy Supply Technical Training at MidAmerican Energy, and Strategic Planner, and Revenue Cycle Manager at Xcel Energy. Eric has taught undergraduate, graduate, and corporate courses ranging from Oil Services Engineering Handbook, to Organizational Performance and Change, at state universities and private institutions. He received an MBA from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
